Our NY based client has an immediate opening for Technology Manager in New York. The role sits in a business unit that is housed within the global network. The Technology Manager will lead the IT function for their offices and will communicate frequently with their peers in other locations and with the larger holding company. This is an opportunity to work in large enterprise environment supporting cutting edge enterprise security and productivity applications. The ideal candidate should have experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines. The candidate should also be comfortable communicating IT objectives to local leadership and staff.

The Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day IT operations of approximately 110 users across six offices along the eastern seaboard. There is centralized IT support operations group for the majority of user issues, but this role will serve as a communication point during escalations or where corporate is cascading new tools/protocols out to the user community. This position will require working with multiple groups within the IT department to implement enterprise solutions and prepare the end users for the change (change management). You will frequently be engaging with senior engineers and outsourced partners to achieve project completion. For example, there's an initiative will be executed in the next 6 months that will centralize support for Active Directory. This will change the processes users follow regarding simple things like password resets, so it will need to be communicated effectively to ensure adoption of the new processes.

This is not a helpdesk-based role but will be user facing and being comfortable managing user escalations is a must. Ideally, candidates came up-through-the-ranks of IT Help Desk and therefore have familiarity with support situations. Your role is to ensure your users are getting what they need - both from centralized support and the tools they have.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee day to day IT operations of the agency offices along the east coast.

· Support the implementation of corporate IT objectives.

· Work with internal and external IT resources to implement enterprise solutions.

· Manage the local Active Directory (pw resets, new users) and any application integrations for the next 6 months.

· Train and support end users with new technology roll outs.

· Draft end user facing communication to advise of IT changes and requirements.

· Play a key role in creating and enforcing IT policy and procedures.

· Have day to day responsibility overseeing the following IT operational areas:

o Risk planning and mitigation

o Business continuity planning

o IT Security and environment hardening

o Compliance and audit

o Software procurement/renewal

o Enterprise application adoption

o Local application management

o Onboarding/offboarding management

o End user escalations

Qualifications:

· At least 5 years’ experience in IT operations / help desk. ITIL knowledge ideal.

· Must be able to communicate to both technical and non-technical executives.

· Change management experience is a must.

· Experienced working with outsourced vendors and vendor management.

· Able to manage multiple projects at once.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 is a must - Superuser knowledge ideal.

· Basic Active Directory Knowledge (creating a user, resetting a password, adding a user to a group).

· Basic troubleshooting skills for Windows and Mac OS end points is expected.

· Windows Server Knowledge is a plus.

· Basic troubleshooting skills for TCP/IP connectivity is expected.
