In the role of Senior Desktop Engineer you will be responsible for providing all aspects of end user system administration and support including problem-solving, system configuration, architecture development and implementation. The technical environment is complex including multiple hardware and OS platforms.
Provide the team support through installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, configuring, granting and upgrading systems and hardware. The system includes Windows and Mac hardware.
Provide support for account administration and access to cloud based applications and services including Office 365, RingCentral, and Intune.
Perform deployment of laptops / desktops, access provisioning, hardware, software, general guidance, and compliance. Participate in evaluations of new hardware and software products.
Make recommendations for the selection of software and hardware standards across the company.
Participate in 24/7 on-call program. Participate in decisions regarding downtime impact on users through accurate communication, planning of scheduled downtime and quick problem resolution for unscheduled downtime.
Bachelor's Degree in a technology focused major
7+ years of experience working with Windows OS and Mac OSX in a corporate environment
Experience with Office 365 user provisioning and troubleshooting for email and SharePoint
Experience with Microsoft Intune, SSO/SAML setups in an enterprise environment
Experience with Active Directory user/group management
Experience with integration of Windows and Mac systems with equipment including Illumina
Experience with Dell product line as well as Apple product support
Experience with Windows Server 2012R2 or 201 and Linux based systems
Strong customer service skills with an ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users
Knowledge of ITIL disciplines
Understanding of company technologies including ServiceNow, Slack, RingCentral, PagerDuty
